NIPPERS PROFICIENCY

We will be commencing on Sunday 11th October. Start at 8:45am
There will be no pool proficiencies this year, they will be done at the first nippers day as an ocean swim, distance will depend on age.
This swim is mainly aimed at the children who want to attend carnivals in the region, if they can’t pass the ocean swim they cannot go to carnivals for U9’s and up.
There is still a survival float, and minimal swim distances at any stroke for the ones who just want to come on Sundays. (see below)

Pool and Surf Proficiencies
For safety and development reasons, all junior participants that wish to compete for our club in either Beach or Water events must successfully complete a :- Junior Participation Skill Evaluation.

NB:- Open water swim
• Be taken from waist deep water, e.g. the run is from a flag, around a marker and to waist deep water, the swim is from waist deep water around two swimming buoys and back to waist deep water.
• Course must be around two swimming buoys.
All participants wishing to compete at Carnivals, including beach competitors must be proficient in all tasks of the Competition Skill Evaluation.
