Boat races day another great success. Committee members agreed that we need
to look at increasing the
amount of advertising for 2008.
Defib training coarse on 31 May 2008 from 5.30pm to 9.30pm. Bowie to request
all Patrol Captains to
participate.
Mark Sutton requested a further letter be written to Council requesting some
form of increase in funding,
e.g a portion of the new levy imposed on rate notices. Brad suggested that we
hold off until Loz returns as
he has been at the forefront of negotiations with Council regarding funding
increases. Al Riddoch reminded
members that 2006/2007expenses will be in the vicinity of $80K whilst Council’s
contribution will $10K.
Gordon Braithwaite suggested we join forces with North Beach in our quest for
an increase in funding.
